With a fat transfer procedure, Dr. Franckle takes small amounts of fat cells from one area of the body and transfers those cells to another. For example, he can take fat from your hips (where a lot of excess fat cells are stored for many women) and inject it into your lips, which can create a more natural looking plump.  Common areas we retrieve fat from include the abdomen, buttocks or inner thighs. Areas we frequently inject fat into include the lips, cheeks, under eyes, hands and buttocks (the Brazillian butt lift).

How does this fat transfer procedure work? Fat is removed via liposuction and carefully re-injected into the new area. Dr. Franckle uses a technique to layer small injections of fat throughout the new area within different tiers of muscle and fat. Strategically placing the fat injections helps create a more natural look.
