The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has released their annual survey of cosmetic surgery procedures indicating the top three as breast augmentation, liposuction and eyelid surgery. Plastic surgeon in New Jersey, Dr. William Franckle, contributed clinical data to the final determination of this study.
Voorhees, NJ (Vocus/PRWEB ) March 18, 2009 — Board certified, plastic surgeon in New Jersey and member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), Dr. William Franckle, was called upon to release his practice statistics to help determine the top cosmetic surgery procedures of 2008.
According to the results of the study, breast augmentation, liposuction and eyelid surgery ranked as the top three plastic surgery procedures performed last year, with over 10 million surgical and non-surgical procedures performed across the country for 2008.
“I was happy to share our office statistics to help the ASAPS determine the top procedures of 2008,” says Dr. William Franckle, surgeon for cosmetic surgery in South Jersey. “It’s uplifting to see that our industry is continuing to hold strong despite economic setbacks.”
ASAPS called upon the most influential plastic surgeons in the United States to release their personal plastic surgery data for a thorough and accurate study result. Dr. Franckle was among this group of surgeons participating in the annual survey. This is the 12th such survey produced by the ASAPS, which has been the world’s leading organization for cosmetic surgery research and education since its founding in 1967.
“In my opinion, great news for the growth of our industry is the apparent growth in approval of cosmetic surgery from society,” explains Dr. Franckle. “According to the ASAPS stats, 23% of women are more favorable of cosmetic surgery than they were 5 years ago, likewise, 18% of men are more favorable of cosmetic procedures.
The study also determined that women had 92 percent of all cosmetic procedures last year totaling 9.3 million with men undergoing 800,000 procedures at 8 percent.

Voorhees, NJ (PRWEB) October 13, 2008 — Dr. William Franckle, South Jersey Plastic Surgeon, reports an increasing number of women seeking mommy makeovers at Premier Plastic Surgery of Arts in Voorhees, New Jersey. Pregnancy takes a toll on a woman’s body. It gets stretched and swollen, and when the baby is born, the body shrinks down. Eventually, it stops bouncing back. As a woman has more children and ages, skin loses its elasticity and the weight is harder and harder to take off.
The one place she might want to keep the weight usually shrinks- the breasts. Of course, when they shrink, they sag.
For women in southern New Jersey, plastic surgeon, Dr. Franckle, offers a wide variety of procedures to choose from when considering a mommy makeover. A tummy tuck can reduce the excess skin that sags around the waist especially after the stretching from pregnancy. It can help smooth the abdominal area and can help tighten the muscles for a flatter tummy.*
Dr. Franckle says, “Pregnancy and breastfeeding can have an unexpected effect on a woman’s body, and many moms who come in for consultation have been discouraged with their diet and exercise because they may lose weight but it doesn’t restore the body to its former shape.”
Breast augmentation with implants can be used to fill out the drooping breasts left behind from pregnancy and breastfeeding. “My patients want to be sexy moms,” adds Dr. Franckle. “Breast augmentation can be a way for moms to restore the youthful look that they may have lost after having children.”
Often, liposuction is used in conjunction with breast augmentation to reduce stubborn fatty pockets that won’t go away with diet and exercise. Dr. Franckle discusses these issues during consultation to design an individualized makeover for each patient.
Dr. Franckle has also found smaller procedures and treatments are of great benefit to his patients, used alone or in conjunction with a full makeover. An eyelid lift can help reduce the effects of all the sleepless nights, and Botox Cosmetic and laser skin rejuvenation can help a mom look fresh and more relaxed by diminishing fine lines and skin imperfections.
For a South Jersey tummy tuck or breast enlargements, New Jersey clinic, Premier Plastic Surgery Arts, is current on all the newest technology.
