Four Easy Cosmetic Procedures You Can Squeeze in at Lunch
Posted on February 20th, 2018 by Dr. William FranckleLooking for a more vibrant, youthful appearance, without committing to long-term cosmetic surgery? You’re in luck! There are a number of non-surgical treatments that can be done in an afternoon with virtually no downtime. These four treatments can make a visible difference without having to take time off for recovery.
BOTOX®
BOTOX® works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles to get rid of lines and wrinkles across the forehead and at the corners of eyes. The treatment only takes about 10 minutes to complete and can easily be squeezed in during a lunch hour. For long-lasting results, Botox should be repeated every 3-4 months.
Injectable Fillers
Fillers are similar to BOTOX® because both are used to combat signs of aging on the face. Injectable fillers plump the skin to smooth fine lines, while BOTOX® relaxes the muscles underneath. For example, the injectable filler Juvederm Volbella is great for adding natural fullness to the lips, while Juvederm Voluma adds volume to the cheeks and mid-face area. Often, these fillers can be combined with BOTOX® and completed during one appointment. Dermal fillers, such as Restylane®, take less than 30 minutes to administer and results last up to 18 months.
Kybella
There’s finally a non-surgical procedure that tackles that tough double chin area! The Kybella injectable helps define the jawline by removing that pesky extra fat between the neck and chin. Treatment only lasts about 30 minutes, with no added recovery time. Many patients see results after the first treatment, but Dr. Franckle generally recommends two to six sessions for the most dramatic, lasting results without taking the cosmetic surgery route.
At-home Mask or Facial Peel
Not all non-surgical cosmetic options require a trip to the doctor’s office. Medical-grade skin care treatments, like ZO Skin Health, offer great options to brighten, renew, and treat facial needs at home. A sulfur masque is an easy solution for oily skin or clogged pores and can be done at home in about 15 minutes. Or, a resurfacing peel can be used to correct skin texture and tone in about one hour.
